Seven firms on the Business Wales Accelerated Growth Programme picked up gongs at the recent Wales Start-Up Awards.
The winners were announced on September 20th at an informal ceremony at Cardiff’s DEPOT, an entrepreneurial start-up business offering street food and craft beer from Welsh enterprises.
Winners included luxury stationery company Sadler Jones, prosthetic limb design specialist Limb-Art and The Good Wash Company, a new luxury toiletry brand that aims to change the world “one wash at a time”.
The Business Wales AGP team is delighted to see such an impressive number of clients being recognised for their innovation, dedication and hard work.
Founder of the Wales Start-Up Awards, Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE said:
“New businesses are the lifeblood of any growing economy. They create innovation, vitality and, most importantly, jobs in local communities. With research showing that new firms create the majority of employment in any economy, they can make a real difference in improving prosperity across Wales.
“These awards recognise the achievements of the entrepreneurial individuals who have spotted the opportunity and taken risks to launch a new product or service, and who are often the unsung heroes of the business community.”
